Strengthening Child Protection Systems
Strengthening Child Protection Systems
Our Strengthening Child Protection Systems Program focuses on building effective, responsive, and sustainable systems that safeguard children from harm.
We work closely with local leaders, schools, families, and government institutions to enhance their capacity to prevent and respond to child protection concerns. This includes training stakeholders on child rights, case management, reporting mechanisms, and legal frameworks.
By strengthening coordination among service providers and promoting accountability, we ensure that children at risk receive timely and appropriate support. Our approach emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and community ownership of child protection systems.
What We Do:
- Capacity building for child protection actors (teachers, local leaders, caregivers)
- Establishment and strengthening of community-based child protection committees
- Promotion of child-friendly reporting and referral systems
- Advocacy for enforcement of child protection laws and policies
Why it matters:
- Strong systems ensure that every child at risk is identified, protected, and supported
